Honorlock makes ID authentication quick and simple by capturing a picture of the test taker alongside their photo ID before starting the exam.

How does test taker authentication work?

1. Capture test taker photo

In the case that your identity will be manually verified by a proctor, we will request a photo of you before an exam.

2. Photo ID Verification

We verify the name on your ID to ensure you are the correct test taker and log a photo of the ID.

3. Room Scan

A 360-degree room scan ensures that your test space complies with your exam administrator’s requirements.

Safe and secure

Honorlock does not use face recognition, fingerprints, voiceprints, or other biometric technologies to identify test takers.

We do NOT identify any individual test taker’s face, store facial elements, or match the face to a database. If no face is detected, or if multiple faces are detected, AI will flag the incident and a live human proctor may intervene.
