60MIN

Apr 1, 2025 02:00 PM ET

When it comes to cheating, the general consensus is that nowadays, “everybody does it.”

Cheating isn’t new, but AI like ChatGPT makes it easier than ever for students to write essays and answer test questions about any topic. As educators struggle to keep up, the long-standing issue of cheating going unaddressed continues to grow.

Does the issue begin with students or faculty? Can it be blamed entirely on AI or on other systemic issues, such as reporting?

Join Honorlock on Tuesday, April 1, at 2 p.m. ET for the webinar, “Preventing a Cheating Culture: Why Students Really Cheat & How to Address It.” Experts will explore the root causes of cheating, besides obvious reasons like wanting better grades, provide practical strategies for faculty to turn difficult conversations about cheating into constructive discussions, and outline ways to make academic misconduct reporting processes more efficient and effective.
