Dr. Marchman’s most recently served as the Assistant Provost and Director of UF’s Office of Distance Learning where he provided strategic leadership and oversight for UF’s distance learning unit, the Distance Education Service Center (DESC), UF Flexible Learning, UF Dual Enrollment, and enterprise-wide online proctoring services.Dr. Marchman is currently the Director and Superintendent at UF’s P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School where he has been named Teacher of the Year and Principal of the Year. The author of numerous professional publications, Dr. Marchman also frequently presents at state, national, and international conferences.

Scott is one of the three founders of Inside Higher Ed, where he helps to lead editorial operations, overseeing news content, opinion pieces, career advice, blogs and other features.
